A Czech officemate gave me a piece of chocolate today. She said that it was a giveaway from her friend's new shop. Guess what kind of shop her friend just opened. Haha!

Indiana Jones
A couple of days ago, I was in Prague with my cousin for the Easter holidays. Every time I am in town, I always visit F&F in Palladium Mall because I am a big fan of their reasonably priced fast fashion collection. I discovered this brand while grocery shopping in Tesco many months ago where F&F has various racks of clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. I was really thrilled to find out last November that they have opened their first boutique in Prague.
I bought something unusual in F&F last Easter. It is a pair of ala-Indiana Jones mid-cut booties! While I do admit that this edgy design is not really my usual style, this pair caught my eye because of two reasons: I love its camel brown color and it was on sale (only 300 CZK or about Php 750). Plus, there were only three pairs left and one was surprisingly my size!

Reorganization
My life is a big mess. I mean not literally. I just need to reorganize these days. I notice that I can't seem to follow my to-do list. I keep on procrastinating day after day. I have laundry to wash, clothes to pack, bills to pay, movies to download, a room to clean, and a whole lot more. Believe me, the list just goes on and on.
This afternoon, I decided to search for some design inspiration. I got one from here. I need a corkboard as big as this since I always forget to jot down important things in my planner. It's already four months into the year and my planner is still half empty.
For the next design inspiration, what drew me to this photo was the foxy pink wall and zebra prints. I have this empty wall in my room back in my hometown and I am thinking of redesigning it this way. I like the mix of corkboards, photo boards and mirror. Check it here.

Hot McDreamy
Patrick Dempsey is one HOT Daddy! I just saw this McDreamy photo from US Magazine of Dr. Derek Shepherd from the award winning TV series, Grey's Anatomy. I have always been an avid fan of this TV series and Dr. McDreamy is definitely the reason why.

Death
Death.
I've just read from Philippine Entertainment Portal that 18 year-old actor, AJ Perez, has died from a vehicular accident today. I haven't seen any of his TV shows nor his movies, but his face seemed familiar that is why I took notice of the news in the Philippine Entertainment Portal's website.
I feel really bad for his family. He was just about to start college and soar high in his career. He had a full life ahead of him and then bam, it ended just like that. It got me thinking how fleeting and precious life is. I have to stop procrastinating and start living. As Luke Brandon in the Shopaholicbook series said, "(Death) makes you see things differently for a moment."

Promo Tickets
I am a bit cash-strapped these days, that is why I have temporarily suspended my travels until further notice. Haha! After work today, my sister buzzed me through Yahoo Messenger and informed me about the one-day online sale at Jetstar Asia, an Australian low cost airline. Being the curious bug that I am, I decided to check out their site.
My wanderlust of a sister asked me to check out what destinations were on sale. She suggested Hanoi, Vietnam. I am not really so keen to travel anymore this year because I think I have traveled more than enough last year and early this year, but the minute I saw that the tickets were on sale, I immediately changed my mind. Haha! Fickle-minded much! The roundtrip tickets were only for 170 SGD or ₱ 5800.
When I was about to enter my credit card details, it dawned on me that I could not really afford the trip because I still have lots of financial issues to settle. And so I told my sister that I really can't go. Then suddenly she offered to pay for the tickets as her belated graduation gift to me! OMG how lucky am I? She even offered to pay for my Manila-Singapore tickets! Thanks Ach!

Shopaholic Series
I got a membership card from the British Council's library here in my city so basically, I am free to borrow books whenever I want. The first set of books I borrowed was the Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella. I could very much relate to the main character.

Spring Style Essential
In the spirit of spring, I wanna share my favorite item in US Magazine's 11 Spring Style Essentials. I am lusting over this Derek Lam Suzume T-Strap Platform priced at US$ 650. Isn't it perfect? Ahhh, I wish I have enough money to buy this.

Greek
I started
watching the TV show, Greek, way back in January. I didn't like the show initially because every 45-minute episode merely revolved around childish pranks, college parties, and the petty squabbles among sororities and fraternities. After watching all four seasons (=74 episodes), I got to know each of the characters a lot better and eventually loved the show!
I especially loved their finale episode. It was really really good---lots of lessons, realizations and closures.
One of my favorite moments during the finale episode was Cappie's final philosophy exam. It reminded me so much of my own final philosophy exam. The only difference is that Cappie did well and I screwed mine up. Haha! Cappie's answer during his final exam made me realize that most people only start looking back at the course of events that took place in the past once the end is near, once everything is over.
I loved how Cappie answered his professor's lone question in the exam, "WHY?"
"Why are we here? Well I have thought about that. We all have a purpose and our purpose is to figure out our purpose. That's what college is. (Then he begins to share his entire college experience.) Why would I want to leave this place? Then I realized that there is so much left to learn, to experience, to look forward to. And now I am graduating and heading out to the real world with the love of my life who was my purpose. So today, I am here to graduate and tomorrow, well it is hard to say, coz I have no idea where I'll be".
Before the finale episode ended, they were all hugging and kissing each other goodbye as the song, "Forever Young", was playing in the background.

Brooke Shields in The Middle
Like I said in my last entry, I am now addicted to the TV show, The Middle. My favorite episode is Season 1 Episode 12 entitled "The Neighbor" because Brooke Shields is the guest star.
She plays the trashy, drag queen-looking neighbor of the Heck Family. She is a single mom of four naughty boys, who always cause trouble in their neighborhood. I loved the part when she was stopping Frankie from getting her cellphone and they were arguing. So funny!
Her appearance in The Middle is totally opposite to her elegant and posh-looking character in the now defunct TV series, Lipstick Jungle. I used to watch this show as well. Too bad it has been cancelled.
Another reason why I loved this episode is because of Sue Heck's dance performance. OMG her Kung Fu fighting stunt was ridiculously funny!

The Middle
These days, I am obssessed with the TV show, The Middle. This show is about an American family residing in Orson, Indiana, somewhere in the mid-western part of the United States. Mike and Frankie are parents to three exceptionally different kids. The eldest son is Axl, the stubborn and rebellious teen. Meanwhile, the second child is the awkward underachiever, Sue. Finally, the youngest child is Brick. He is the cute and witty bookworm.
It may seem like a simple story about an American family, but believe me, it is crazy hilarious! I ended up watching two seasons with a total of 44 episodes in three straight days. Haha! I am addicted. I can't wait to download the next episode of the show on the 14th of April.
