Do You Know Your Shoes?

I am obsessed with shoes! But I do admit that there are times when I don't know how to exactly describe certain shoe designs. This infographic from Pinterest is a big help:

Payless Shoes

I rewarded myself with two pairs of shoes from Payless earlier today. I deserve this for working so hard these past few months.

High Shine Gloss

I dropped by Charles & Keith in SM Megamall a couple of days ago. I spotted this ultra cute fluorescent-colored peep toe platforms and I can't stop thinking about it. I fancy the green one. Please be mine.

Unlisted

Say hello to my newest baby!

Unlisted is a shoe brand that I have known for quite some time here in the Philippines. I chanced upon this eye-catching blue-and-red pair of wedge sandals while strolling in SM CDO this afternoon. I super love the color combination and heel height (around 2 inches). I am pretty sure I can walk on these the entire day. Plus, they offered me a 10% discount! All the more reason to buy it! Haha!

Chunky Platform Heels

I learned from the Style & Beauty section of US Magazine about freepeople.com. They sell the most gorgeous pairs of wedges, heels and platforms. Every shoewhore should take some time to visit this site!

My personal favorite is this Crosby Platform by Jeffrey Campbell, the same pair featured in US Magazine. I adore the chunky wooden heel and peep-toe design. When can I ever afford a pair like this?

Straw Weaved Wedge

To buy or not to buy?   That is the question.

These days, Facebook is one of the fastest growing online shopping sites. I saw this ultra cute straw-weaved wedge sandal from an online seller's Facebook account and I couldn't take my eyes off it. I super love the peep-toe design with matching shoe laces. This pair comes in two colors, grey and pink, but I prefer this grey one.

Cole Vintage Oxfords

Just this afternoon, I was surprised to receive an email from Cole Vintage, a brand that I have known since I was in college. The subject line in the email stated, "Our treat for you!"

Several days ago, I stumbled upon the Facebook page of Cole Vintage. They were looking for people to answer their survey. In return, they were giving away 20% discount coupons to the first 20 people. Lucky me, I was one of them.

What caught my eye was this Pescara Brown Oxfords, which has an interwoven design and is said to be made of high quality faux leather with matte gold eyelets and brown shoelaces. I can't wait to see my new shoes when I get back to the Philippines on July!

Birthday Shopping

As an advance birthday present to myself, I went on a little shopping spree today. I discovered the shop, Gate, while I was in Prague last February. Luckily, I found the same shop here in Ostrava. I love how everything is so cheap in Gate that's why I was also able to buy some stuff for my family back home too.

Indiana Jones

A couple of days ago, I was in Prague with my cousin for the Easter holidays. Every time I am in town, I always visit F&F in Palladium Mall because I am a big fan of their reasonably priced fast fashion collection. I discovered this brand while grocery shopping in Tesco many months ago where F&F has various racks of clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. I was really thrilled to find out last November that they have opened their first boutique in Prague.

I bought something unusual in F&F last Easter. It is a pair of ala-Indiana Jones mid-cut booties! While I do admit that this edgy design is not really my usual style, this pair caught my eye because of two reasons: I love its camel brown color and it was on sale (only 300 CZK or about Php 750). Plus, there were only three pairs left and one was surprisingly my size!

Spring Style Essential

In the spirit of spring, I wanna share my favorite item in US Magazine's 11 Spring Style Essentials. I am lusting over this Derek Lam Suzume T-Strap Platform priced at US$ 650. Isn't it perfect? Ahhh, I wish I have enough money to buy this.

Missing My Shoes

Apart from my family and friends, there is one more thing that I badly miss back home...MY SHOES. I badly miss my shoes. Before I left the Philippines, I neatly arranged some of my shoes in my closet. I had to put the other pairs in their boxes and stuff them in the attic because I didn't have enough space.

Poor Shoes

After two months here in the Czech Republic, I can honestly say that I have been walking a lot. I have bittersweet feelings about walking this much. It's good because I get more exercise. On the other hand, I don't feel so good because winter is fast approaching. How the hell am I gonna stand the long walk from the bus stop to my building almost everyday? I'll be a freezing popsicle by the time I'll arrive at work!

Here are proofs that I have been walking a lot:

SHOE # 1: I got this pair of flats from the States. I swear, it is very comfortable. Sadly the front part is now widely facing the camera.

SHOE # 2: This gray pair of flats is special because my mom bought this for me. One of the rare times she buys me shoes. Sadly the sole is now widely cracked.

Two broken pairs of shoes in less than two months! Unbelievable. The cobblestones and uneven pedestrians might be the cause of this catastrophe! A part of me is mourning, but another part of me is gleaming because this only means one thing...I now have an excuse to buy more pairs of shoes! Haha!

New Yorker Oxfords

How many times have I told myself to stop shopping? I'm hopeless. Today, I bought a new pair of Oxfords from New Yorker. I have been eyeing this pair for months but they were quite expensive then. When I went to the shop again today, it was already 70% off, so I bought it immediately. I got inspired by Katie Holmes' carefree look wearing her Oxfords while running errands around New York. I hope I could pull off this look.

My Charles & Keith Love Affair

I am not really familiar with the exact story behind the renowned international shoe brand, Charles and Keith. All I know is that they are Chinese brothers who are behind the success of this shoe empire which started its operations in Singapore way back in 1996.

Ever since I bought my first pair more than three years ago, I have become hooked. For me, a trip to the mall is never complete without dropping by Charles and Keith. Last March, they had a huge three-day warehouse sale at their headquarters in Paya Lebar, Singapore. Incidentally, I was also in the Lion City during those particular days for my internship, so my friends and I were able to splurge on some fabulous shoes!

My most recent purchase from Charles and Keith was just last week, which I deemed as my birthday present to myself. I bought a pair of so-called "do-it-all" pumps which came with a classic patent, a unique almond toe-shaped tip and lovely cone-shaped heels. Luckily, it was on sale during the time of my purchase so I was able to enjoy a 20% discount! I came home that night feeling like an Oscar winner!

Orange Peeptoes

One of my best finds in Singapore was this orange peep toes from Topshop. I have never bought anything from Topshop in the past because I couldn't afford it. But I indulged myself this time because this pair was on SALE!

VNC Addicts

Last week in Malaysia, Ate Jov and I got so addicted with VNC! It is a famous shoe brand that started in Malaysia and is now available in different countries. While in Kuala Lumpur, we shopped in VNC everyday because their shoes were so cheap compared in the Philippines. We did a little inventory of the shoes we have bought and here they are:
Okay, before you judge me! Mind you, among the 12 pairs above, only 2 pairs are mine. While 4 pairs are for my sister, 1 pair for my mom and the rest are Ate Jov's. If I had more money and luggage space, I would have bought more shoes. But I had to pace myself because I don't want to have a heart attack when I see my credit card bill next month.

Sky High Clogs

While I was in Harajuku two weeks ago, the sky high clogs common among Japanese fashionistas caught my attention. The fashion in Japan is really out of this world! I admire how Japanese girls carry themselves gracefully as they walk the streets of Tokyo in these sky high clogs.

Akita: Last Stroll

Last December 7, Jam and I relished our second-to-the-last weekend in Akita. We made our way to the city center after lunch to do some last minute sightseeing and shopping. The train tracks were beautifully covered in snow.

After sightseeing, we went inside the mall to check out some shoes. This is me camwhoring. I really loved my outfit that day. Jam and I went crazy over the shoes because they were all on sale. We ended up buying about five pairs each! Haha!

Mid-afternoon, we went for a little snack. We were so kuripot so we shared one yummy chocolate-banana crepe. Around 7:00pm, we met with our Filipino friend, Mr. Santos, for dinner in an Italian restaurant.
