Annie The Musical

Annie is a Broadway musical about a cute little orphan who popularized the songs, "Tomorrow" and "It's the Hard-Knock Life". I purposely went to Singapore last week to watch this musical together with my sister. Annie is significant to me because my former class did a musical about this way back in high school and we won! I was cast as one of the maids. Haha! In Singapore, Annie the Musical was staged at Marina Bay Sands Theater.

British musical veteran David McAlister played Daddy Warbucks.

We were not allowed to take photos inside the theater, but I managed
to sneak a photo before the show..

..and when the entire cast made their final bow. Haha stubborn girl!
Flying all the way to Singapore was worth it!

Mamma Mia Live

After our company's awarding ceremony last January 31, we were given free tickets to watch the international broadway show, Mamma Mia, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. I love ALL their songs! It was really a dream come true!

Sound of Music

The Sound of Music is my all-time favorite movie so when I heard that Resorts World Manila is producing a Broadway musical for the said movie at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, I dragged my sister to come watch the musical with me. I just can't miss this!

The Newport Performing Arts Theater is truly world-class. I even like it better than Opheum Theater in San Francisco where we watched the musical, Wicked.

The stage production was impressive. I particularly loved how they recreated the Von Trapp mansion complete with a grand chandelier, winding staircase and classy drapings.

This was during the finale when the entire cast made their final bow.

After the show, my sister and I strolled around the mall. It was my first time in Resorts World Manila and I loved it!

Cirque de Glace

Last February 15, Nicoleta and I watched the Cirque de Glace show at Cez Arena in Ostrava. The show revolves around the story of the creation of our planet, man’s evolution and a journey to the limits of technology as a stunning ice spectacular, according to their site.

This lady was the star of the night.

Do-Re-Mi

It has been more than a week since I visited Salzburg, but I still can't get over "The Sound of Music". I miss watching Maria and the Von Trapp kids run across the fields and sing those lovely songs. Today, I downloaded the film just for the fun of it. Here are some photos of Salzburg from the movie back in 1965 and from my trip in 2010:
