Framing Compositions

I get a lot of my design inspiration from the newest virtual pinboard, Pinterest. I specifically made a board in my Pinterest profile exclusive for frames. Here are some of my favorite pins from my Frames board:

1. This is from apartmenttherapy.com

2. This is from engagedandinspired.com

I love decorating our walls at home with different sizes of frames. But I can't seem to get the right framing composition. Good thing I found this very helpful infographic, also from Pinterest. I now have an idea how to arrange our frames in such a way that they won't look too crowded.

Vintage Magnetic Board

Earlier this evening, I was strolling leisurely in Limketkai Mall. I went inside Robinsons Department Store and to my delight, I suddenly found the cutest vintage magnetic boards I have ever seen. The frames are made of pale-colored wood that looked unvarnished. The design of the magnetic board contributed to the whole vintage appeal. It resembled an old postcard with a handwritten note.

It came in two sizes. I bought them both because I couldn't decide which one to get. Each magnetic board also came with free magnetic picture frames. It's so adorable! I can't wait to put my travel magnets on the boards!

Christmas at Resorts World Manila

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold,
everything is softer and more beautiful.

Reorganization

My life is a big mess. I mean not literally. I just need to reorganize these days. I notice that I can't seem to follow my to-do list. I keep on procrastinating day after day. I have laundry to wash, clothes to pack, bills to pay, movies to download, a room to clean, and a whole lot more. Believe me, the list just goes on and on.

This afternoon, I decided to search for some design inspiration. I got one from here. I need a corkboard as big as this since I always forget to jot down important things in my planner. It's already four months into the year and my planner is still half empty.

For the next design inspiration, what drew me to this photo was the foxy pink wall and zebra prints. I have this empty wall in my room back in my hometown and I am thinking of redesigning it this way. I like the mix of corkboards, photo boards and mirror. Check it here.

$1 Billion House in India

I read on Time Magazine that India's richest man and Forbes's fourth richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has built the world's most expensive house in Mumbai, India estimated to be worth $1 billion. OMG. If I have a house this big with 27 stories and 37,000 square meters of floor space, I bet I no longer want to go out of my own house. Haha!

This mansion has lots of facilities such as a health club with a gym and dance studio, a swimming pool, a ballroom, several guestrooms, a variety of lounges and a 50-seater cinema. Plus, there are also three helicopter pads on the roof and a car park for 160 vehicles. Wow! I am in awe!

Quiddity

I recently stumbled upon the Facebook page of my college batchmate, Gen Go, who has long been known for her creative genius. Back when we were still in college, she started this small business called Quiddity. It is an arts and travel shop specializing in quality art supplies, journals, and other travel gear fit for every quirky globetrotter.

I love her collection because I could very much identify with it. I super love quirky things! Her collection has a very personalized touch which is a plus factor. Here are some of my personal favorites from her Fall 2010 collection:

At first I didn't know what are these cute wooden things for. I later found out it could be use as bookmarks. The designs are so adorable. Apart from their bookmarks, I am also lusting over their cute writing journals. I love collecting journals ever since before, but I never use them. I just love to keep them.
