Back in Europe, my constant food buddy was Nicoleta, the best Greek tsoula. Now that I'm back in Manila, my new food buddy is my college friend Guillain, who, like me, is super matakaw. Haha! There is never a dull moment when I hang out with her. One ordinary night, we went to Metrowalk then had dessert at McDonald's in Ortigas. On another occasion, we tried the Bubble Tea Restaurant along Wilson in Greenhills. We also had dinner a couple of nights ago at Bigby's Cafe in Megamall.
Allow me to awaken your taste buds! We went to Conti's Pastry Shop & Restaurant and tried their Bananalicious Pie, described in their site as "buttery crust filled with vanilla cream and chunks of ripe bananas topped with cashew nuts, chocolate and caramel syrups on whipped cream icing." For girls like us, one is never enough so we likewise tasted their frozen Mango Bravo, described in their site as "layers of wafer, cream and fresh mangoes coated with whipped cream icing topped with fresh mangoes and drizzled with chocolate syrup." Meanwhile, the Strawberry Shortcake topped with Vanilla Ice Cream in the photo is from Bigby's Cafe and Restaurant. It was pure heaven! Lastly, these are the giant milk teas we ordered at Bubble Tea Restaurant.
