UAE: Sharjah & Ajman

On our sixth day, we went on a roadtrip to Sharjah, the third largest of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. We first checked out the building that houses Sharjah's Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

We then went to see Qanat Al Qasba, a leisure area with a variety of attractions such as the Eye of the Emirates Ferris wheel, restaurants, cafes, and a lovely canal with abra rides. I love the relaxing vibe of the whole place.

Afterwards, we went to the Sharjah Central Souk, which is also known as the Blue Souk

They were selling jewelry, pashminas, rugs and little trinkets from far-flung places.

We also visited the Ajman Museum, a lovely 18th century fortress with an interesting collection of artifacts, weapons, and many other things.

They recreated the way of life in the past through life-size sculptures.

Aloha from Ajman!
