Last December 18, Jam and I headed to the port city of Yokohama. From Akita, we arrived at Yokohama Station around 8:00am. We were ready to explore the city with our luggage in tow! First, we strolled along the Motomachi Shopping Street, where most branded shops can be found.
We then went to Yokohama's famous Chinatown, which is the biggest in Japan. We visited the Kantei-Byo, the symbol of Chinatown. We also saw Ma Zhu Miao's Temple, who is said to be the Holy Mother of Heaven.
Afterwards, we enjoyed Daska, an authentic Chinese theme park recreating the golden era of Shanghai in the 1920s. I particularly loved the Trick Art Museum.
In the afternoon, we strolled along Minato-Mirai which is near Yokohama Harbor. We visited a lot of places: Pacifico Yokohama (Convention Complex), Queen's Square Yokohama (Mall), Yokohama Landmark Tower (Observatory), Mitsubishi Industrial Museum, Nippon Maru Park.
