Last November 3, before Jam and I went to Disneysea, we went to Asakusa to visit the Sensoji Temple, also known as the Asakusa Kannon Temple. A shopping street of over 200 meters, called Nakamise, leads from the outer gate to the temple's second gate called the Hozomon.
There were lots traditional snacks and souvenirs sold along the way.
The Asakusa Temple is a Buddhist temple located at the center of Shitamachi. When approaching the temple, we first entered through the Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) which is the symbol of Asakusa.
